Identify the application
Volkswagen model families and your original read
GTI, R, TSI and TDI labels are useful context, but compatibility is assessed against the original ECU file and installed hardware.
What matters for a Volkswagen file request
State whether the vehicle is a standard road car, a modified build or a working van.
For Transporter and Caddy enquiries, include conversions, payload and towing requirements.
Document engine and gearbox details before requesting changes to torque delivery.
Prepare these details before uploading
- Choose the correct generation, engine and fuel type in the upload workflow.
- Provide the ECU identification and unaltered original read from this vehicle.
- List hardware changes and report drivability problems that already exist.
Use the original-file checklist for the complete upload workflow.
Choose the service after confirming compatibility
Stage 1 1 credit
A request based on the vehicle’s standard hardware. Describe its condition and software before the file is prepared.
Stage 2 2 credits
A request matched to declared hardware modifications. Supply the full setup and agree the requirements first.
Compatible options are included with a stage file. Standalone options cost 0.5 credit each. Output gains and exact support depend on the specific vehicle; there is no fixed increase promised for a model name.
Questions before you upload
Can I request tuning for a Volkswagen camper conversion?
Include the base vehicle details plus the conversion, usual laden weight, transmission and intended use. The conversion is relevant context even when it has not changed the engine, because the customer may use the vehicle very differently from an unloaded van.
Will one VW file cover several vehicles in my workshop?
Each vehicle needs its own identification and original read. A matching model or advertised output is not enough to establish a matching software version, and the request should stay tied to the individual job.
