A parts list is more useful than a Stage 2 label
Write down what is actually installed, including relevant part numbers and specifications where you have them. Stage names do not describe a turbo, cooling package, intake or fuel-system component precisely enough for a file request. A part that is still planned should be clearly separated from one that is already on the vehicle.
Include the transmission and the fuel the customer intends to use. If another workshop completed some of the hardware work, request its job details before submitting. A complete specification lets the discussion focus on the intended configuration instead of discovering important changes after a file has been prepared.
Establish the starting condition
Upload the original read and identify the current ECU software. Explain whether the vehicle is running its original calibration, an existing tune or software of uncertain origin. If a previous file is supplied for context, label it as such; do not present it as an untouched original.
Record known diagnostic concerns and what has been checked after installing the hardware. A new calibration should be discussed against a known starting condition. If the vehicle cannot be assessed properly yet, resolve that before making a collection-time promise or choosing an ambitious target for the job.
- Vehicle, engine, gearbox and current ECU identification.
- Original read, reading tool, protocol and method.
- Installed hardware with specifications; planned parts listed separately.
- Fuel, intended use and the result the customer is asking for.
- Previous software work, diagnostic observations and available evidence.
Agree a realistic scope before submitting
A 2-credit service price does not mean every combination of parts is supported or every requested outcome can be delivered. Contact us first for an unfamiliar setup, unusual control unit or requirement that is not clearly covered by the catalogue. The answer should establish what information and file work the job needs.
Compatible additional options selected with Stage 2 are included. Separate work, such as a gearbox file, should be identified explicitly instead of being assumed to be part of an engine request. The service catalogue and the upload summary show the credit cost of the selected work.
Keep the specification consistent through delivery
After the file is prepared, download it from the completed submission and follow the notes. If the hardware or fuel specification changes while the job is open, tell us before writing the delivery. The file request should describe the vehicle that is about to be programmed, not an earlier plan.
Feedback is more useful when it includes the exact file version, test conditions and agreed diagnostic data. Record each change between rounds. A screenshot of a peak number without the configuration and conditions does not explain the whole result or establish what a revision should address.
Questions before you upload
What is the price of a Stage 2 tuning file?
Stage 2 costs 2 credits. Compatible additional options selected with that stage are included. The current credit package determines the purchase price.
Which hardware upgrades are required for Stage 2?
There is no single parts list that applies to every vehicle. Send the exact application, installed hardware and intended outcome so the scope can be assessed before submission.
Is a gearbox tune included in Stage 2?
Do not assume a separate transmission file is included in the engine request. Identify both jobs, confirm support and use the appropriate service selections.
