FSCSubaru / Workshop file guide

Subaru tuning files. Start with the exact vehicle.

Subaru performance enquiries often depend on details that a model badge leaves out: original market, engine configuration, fuel and the parts currently fitted. For an Impreza project or a Forester road car, provide those details with the original read. A clear history is especially useful when a vehicle has passed through several owners.

WRX, STI and other model descriptions are not controller-level support guarantees. Converted or previously modified vehicles need accurate configuration details.

What matters for a Subaru file request

01

Document engine and controller changes rather than treating an older performance chassis as factory standard.

02

Specify the fuel the customer can consistently obtain in the country of use.

03

For hardware projects, list intake, turbo, fuelling and exhaust changes where fitted.

Prepare these details before uploading

  • Record generation, exact derivative, engine, transmission and original market.
  • Attach ECU identification, the original read available and known calibration history.
  • Include diagnostic findings and useful logs associated with the current setup.

Use the original-file checklist for the complete upload workflow.

Choose the service after confirming compatibility

Compatible options are included with a stage file. Standalone options cost 0.5 credit each. Output gains and exact support depend on the specific vehicle; there is no fixed increase promised for a model name.

Questions before you upload

What if a Subaru has an engine or ECU conversion?

Identify the components currently installed and explain the conversion before choosing a service. Supply the controller identification and available file from that setup. The chassis model by itself cannot describe the calibration requirement.

Why include fuel details with a Subaru request?

The requested setup should be assessed against the fuel the customer will actually use. State the grade, rating convention and any alternative-fuel arrangement clearly, together with the hardware and previous tuning history.
