Identify the application
Škoda model families and your original read
A similar vehicle from another brand is not a substitute for a Škoda software match. Each original file requires its own assessment.
What matters for a Škoda file request
Describe everyday load, motorway use and towing rather than focusing only on peak output.
Identify a vRS derivative explicitly without treating it as a complete engine specification.
Separate an engine-file request from optional gearbox work or hardware changes.
Prepare these details before uploading
- Record the exact generation, fuel type, original output and transmission.
- Attach the original read and the identification reported by your tool.
- Mention prior tuning, servicing concerns and any non-standard fitted components.
Use the original-file checklist for the complete upload workflow.
Choose the service after confirming compatibility
Stage 1 1 credit
A request based on the vehicle’s standard hardware. Describe its condition and software before the file is prepared.
Stage 2 2 credits
A request matched to declared hardware modifications. Supply the full setup and agree the requirements first.
Compatible options are included with a stage file. Standalone options cost 0.5 credit each. Output gains and exact support depend on the specific vehicle; there is no fixed increase promised for a model name.
Questions before you upload
What information is useful for a Škoda used for towing?
Explain the typical trailer and load, frequency of towing, transmission and the customer's priorities. Do not present a requested power increase as an increase to the vehicle's legal towing or load rating.
Can an Octavia vRS request be made without an ECU read?
You can ask about the process first, but preparing the job requires the vehicle's original file and identification. The vRS badge by itself does not resolve generation, fuel type, software or previous modifications.
