Identify the application
Alpina model families and your original read
An Alpina enquiry must be checked against its actual controller and file. A related BMW file is not automatically an appropriate starting point.
What matters for a Alpina file request
Keep the actual Alpina designation visible throughout the job instead of shortening it to a BMW model.
Separate the documented vehicle specification from changes made by a previous owner.
Describe the desired improvement relative to the current setup rather than an assumed standard-engine baseline.
Prepare these details before uploading
- Supply the complete derivative, generation, engine and transmission details.
- Attach ECU identification and label the provenance of the file you have read.
- Record fitted hardware, available fuel and any previous dealer or tuning updates.
Use the original-file checklist for the complete upload workflow.
Choose the service after confirming compatibility
Stage 1 1 credit
A request based on the vehicle’s standard hardware. Describe its condition and software before the file is prepared.
Stage 2 2 credits
A request matched to declared hardware modifications. Supply the full setup and agree the requirements first.
Compatible options are included with a stage file. Standalone options cost 0.5 credit each. Output gains and exact support depend on the specific vehicle; there is no fixed increase promised for a model name.
Questions before you upload
Should I describe an Alpina as a standard BMW with options?
Use the vehicle's actual identity and complete derivative. Supply its own original read and current hardware specification so the team does not have to infer the configuration from a related model name.
What if my Alpina already has an aftermarket remap?
State that history and label the file accordingly. Include any earlier original read only when you know its source and software relationship. The request should distinguish the vehicle's documented specification from subsequent tuning work.
