FSCA file workflow your workshop can repeat

A tuning file service for the way a workshop manages jobs.

FileService Chiptuning gives workshops an online process for buying credits, submitting original files and receiving manually prepared tuning files. Your dashboard brings together file status, credit history, purchase invoices and support. The aim is practical: make each handover clear enough that the next person looking at a job can understand what was requested and where it stands.

Start with a first job you can document well

Before committing an unfamiliar application, confirm the vehicle, ECU software, programming tool and requested service. Then prepare a complete first submission with the original read and an accurate brief. A well-documented job is a useful way to establish how the portal and communication process fit your workshop.

Do not base an entire booking schedule on an assumed delivery time. Files are manually prepared. Discuss timing when a customer has a fixed appointment, and give the person managing the front desk visibility of the actual pending, in-progress or completed status.

Keep job ownership clear inside the workshop

Use a consistent internal job reference in your file naming and notes. Decide who gathers the vehicle information, who submits the file and who checks the completed delivery. Those may be different people, but the information should tell one continuous story.

A customer-facing promise should be based on the current job state. Payment confirms a credit purchase; submission puts a file request into the workflow; completion makes the prepared file available. Treating those as separate steps helps the workshop explain progress accurately without looking through unrelated messages.

Understand the cost before quoting the customer

Stage 1 uses 1 credit and Stage 2 uses 2 credits. Compatible additional options selected with either stage are included. Standalone options use 0.5 credit each. The purchase amount comes from the credit package you purchase, and the current pricing page shows those packages.

A retail workshop quote can also involve inspection, reading and writing time, hardware work and validation. Those are your workshop's activities, separate from the file-service credit charge. Knowing the difference makes it easier to compare job types and avoid quoting the file price as though it covered the complete vehicle appointment.

  • Credits and their transaction history show the balance used by file jobs.
  • Purchase invoices document confirmed credit purchases and can be downloaded.
  • File submissions show the requested work, status and completed delivery.
  • Support tickets retain the question, replies and relevant attachments.

Build a repeatable aftercare process

When the file is ready, the responsible technician should read the completion notes, verify the job reference and record the version used. Keep the original and delivered files with the workshop's own observations. A tidy handover saves effort if another technician handles the vehicle on a later visit.

For questions after delivery, use a ticket with the submission reference and enough evidence to explain the issue. Email notifications link customers and administrators back to their conversation. If you want to discuss an ongoing workshop relationship or a particular range of vehicles, contact us with that scope; do not assume a separate dealership, exclusivity or volume agreement from an ordinary portal account.

Questions before you upload

Do I need separate master and slave price plans?

Our service prices use one credit catalogue rather than separate master and slave price tiers. Tool-format compatibility still needs to be confirmed, especially where the tool restricts who can process an exported file.

Can workshop staff see when a file is ready?

The customer account's dashboard shows submission status and the completed download. File submission and completion emails link back to the relevant job.

Does an account make my business an authorised dealer?

A customer account provides access to the file-service portal. Any separate partnership, branding permission or commercial arrangement needs to be discussed explicitly.
